meet your artist and brand.
Hi there, I’m Connie, a self taught metalsmith and lapidarist since 2020. Unbridled is new, not the work, not the passion. I’ve been here, crafting slowly and intentionally for years, forging pieces intended to last a lifetime.
Unbridled was thought of while navigating through more grief and sadness than I ever imagined a single year could hold. 2025 swooped in and brought a lot of pain to our lives. This new brand, coming together among a lot of healing and surrender, is a nod to honor some really large pieces of my heart that’ll stay behind as life keeps on going, one of those pieces to include the most magical fella, Onyx, my horse of almost 12 years. Losing him the way we did was a breaking point for me. A moment that made me look at everything differently. Out of his tragedy however, I wanted to “get back in the saddle” and I did, both creatively and physically. I owe a lot to our girl, Jesse - she has carried me and every thing I bring to the ride emotionally and has been a big part of this shift and idea to rebrand. I do most of my thinking in the saddle and she knows everything before anyone else does.
While life this year has felt “unbridled”, completely out of my control, it has also changed the way I want to live. “Unbridled” can encompass many things…. freedom, ideas without limits, love that knows no bounds. Anything can be unbridled in the best of ways. I want my work to convey an unbridled, unrestrained sense of craftsmanship. Free flowing, pouring straight from my heart, through my hands, sometimes without a single plan. I want each piece to tell a story and then I want you to continue to write yours upon it.
Thank you for being here. With so much gratitude in my heart and all of the joy I feel seeing where every piece lands once it leaves our Georgia home, I never take for granted that I get to call this “work” in this lifetime.
